Andrea Soberman ( Miss Andrea
)
graduated from Brooklyn College with a degree in
Early Childhood Education with graduate studies in music and art.
She taught Pre-K through 2nd grade before joining the staff of Musical
Munchkins of Westchester.
Andrea studied voice, guitar and piano in Philadelphia and New
York, and has been a children’s entertainer, performer, storyteller and
clown. In 1993, she founded Musical Munchkins of Orange, Ulster and
Dutchess. Andrea has
given workshops
at local early childhood educational conferences throughout Ulster
and Orange Counties, and has performed at many libraries, daycares and
nursery school programs throughout the Hudson Valley. She now teaches
Musical Munchkins classes throughout Orange county, New York
Joyce Spiteri (Miss Joyce) Born
in Gozo (Malta) "Miss Joyce" started learning music at an
early age. She grew up singing in the church choir from the age of
5 and started playing classical guitar at the age of 9. Influenced
by a variety of music like Spanish, Italian, Rock...-she formed her
own band while still in Malta. She moved to the United States
to go to college and graduated with a degree in early
childhood education.
She has taught pre-
schoolers in Manhattan daycares and has been a Musical
Munchkins teacher for the past year throughout Orange County.
